Within a looped octagon, ‘ḍarb / al-sulṭān al-aʿẓam / Abū Saʿīd Bahādur Khān / khallada Allāh Mulkahū / Tabrīz’ (‘The supreme Sultan, Abu Saʿid Bahadur Khan. May Allah perpetuate his kingdom. Struck in Tabriz’ in Arabic); in the margin, ‘ḍuriba / fī / sana / thalāthīn / wa / sabʿa / miʾa / Tabrīz’ (‘Struck in the year 730. Tabriz’ in Arabic).
