Within a central octofoil, ‘lā ilāha illā Allāh / Muḥammad / rasūl Allāh’ (‘There is no deity but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah’ in Arabic); around, the names of the four Rashidun caliphs in Arabic, ‘Abūbakr / ʿUmar / ʿUthmān / ʿAlī’.
Reverse
Within an enneafoil, in the center, ‘Suliman han’ (‘Sulayman Khan’ in Uighur script); above and below, ‘al-sulṭān al-ʿādil / khalada mulkuhū’ (‘The just Sultan. May his kingdom be perpetuated’ in Arabic); in the margin, ‘ḍarb – Hamadā–n fī – sana – ithnayn – ar–baʿīn – sabʿa – miʾa’ (‘Struck in Hamadan in the year 742’ in Arabic).
