Within a circle, ‘lā ilāha illā Allāh / Muḥammad / rasūl Allāh’ (‘There is no deity but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah’ in Arabic); around, the names of the four Rashidun caliphs in Arabic, ‘Abūbakr / ʿUmar / ʿUthmān / ʿAlī’.
Reverse
Within an eye-shaped cartouche, ‘Suliman han’ (‘Sulayman Khan’ in Uighur script); above and below, ‘al-sulṭān / khalada mulkuhū’ (‘Sultan. May his kingdom be perpetuated’ in Arabic); in the margin, ‘ḍarb Marāgha fī sana – thalāth wa arbaʿīn wa sabʿa miʾa’ (‘Struck in Maragha in the year 743’ in Arabic).
