Within a central circle, ‘Almāligh’ (in Arabic); citing the deceased ʿAbbasid caliph al-Nasir li-din Allah (AH 575-622 / AD 1180-1225) in the inner margin, ‘lā ilāha illā Allāh Muḥammad rasūl Allāh al-Nāṣir li-dīn Allāh’ (‘There is no deity but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. al-Nasir li-din Allah’ in Arabic); in the outer margin, ‘bism Allāh ḍuriba hādhā al-dirham bi sikka Almāligh sana thamān wa arbaʿīn wa sitta miʾa’ (‘In the name of Allah. This dirham was struck with the die of [i.e., at the mint of] Almaligh in the year 648’ in Arabic).
Reverse
‘al-ʿādil a/l-aʿẓam’ (‘The just [and] supreme’ in Arabic); around, ‘ḍuriba hādhā – bi Almāligh sana – thamān wa arbaʿīn – wa sitta miʾa’ (‘This was struck in Almaligh in the year 648’ in Arabic).
