Within double border of dots, draped bust resembling Khusraw II to right, wearing elaborate mural crown; behind head, ‘GDE / ʾp̄zwtˈ’ = ‘xwarrah abzūd’ (‘[may his] glory increase’ in Pahlavi); before head, ‘ʾwml Y / ʾwbytʾlʾʾn’ = ‘Umar ī Ubaydālāān’ (‘ʿUmar son of ʿUbayd Allah’ in Pahlavi); in the outer margin, ‘li-llāh al-ḥamd’ (‘Praise [be] to Allah’ in Arabic).

Within triple border of dots, fire altar with ribbons, flanked by two attendants; above altar, star and crescent; to left, ‘nhw-šstˈ’ = ‘noh-šast’ (‘69’ in Pahlavi); to right, ART (abbreviation for Ardashir-Khwarrah in Pahlavi).
